Ferguson Decals on F-40

On the F-40, was the Ferguson name painted on the sides, or were they stick on decals?

The Ferguson name on the sides of the F-40 hood are decals. Two versions of the regular production decals are available from George Bradish Tractor Parts in Latrobe, PA.

One version has the red Ferguson script lettering outlined in chrome, and the other version does not have the chrome outline. I believe the chrome outline looks better. I am not sure which version of the decal was used over what period, or serial number range. The red lettering was used on the regular production version which has bamboo beige sheet metal and wheels, and flint metallic gray on the castings.

Early proto-type F-40’s were painted Ferguson light gray with metallic green castings just like the early TO-35s.
